Confidence is simply “how you feel” about something, so really, it’s bullshit. It has nothing to do with reality and everybody in America is wacked out and narcissistic. I only disagree with your WWJD statement. It’s more like WWLLD, What Would Lindsey Lohan Do? If people could sincerly act like Jesus for once, they wouldn’t be worried about this obsession known as confidence.

I miss college alot, and I am still IN college.
But I got skrewed, and transfered to a community college. Still, I am scared crap less about what happens next. Its only August and I am looking around for answers.

I have to go back after two years because I got a crap degree and need training for something that pays well. Atleast I got alittle life experience, so now I can do it right and enjoy it too.

There’s a glorious type of wonder in rolling out with the guys, shotgunning a natty light and hooking up with some blonde in the corner of a dimly lit living room of a house that you’ve never been sober in. In cheering at the top of your lungs as you and your buddies take turns surfing down the stairs on top of a traffic cone, then funneling a beer through that very traffic cone. In standing together in a crowded place packed to the doors with vibrant, excited youth doing nothing but living their lives and the only thing their guilty of is doing something with the time that is given to them. It’s the about the experience man, never forget that. I always wonder why people who live the lives they do live their lives as if they were never nineteen and had fire in their souls.

I’m about 16 months out from college and miss it so … I still live in a frat house, so I have 1 more semester of living it up, but I miss being on campus, just everything about college.

Hey there,

I, too, have been missing college as of late. I graduated in May of 2010, and ever since then I’ve been lamenting at my matriculation from undergrad. Today I googled “I miss college” and your blog came up. I enjoyed reading this, both because of your candid, humorous writing and because we share some similar sentiments. I also miss college, my friends, and for now I also work at a bullshitingly mundane job (I plan on going to grad school later). I’m a chick, and a pretty chaste one at that, so I can’t exactly relate to your statements about meaningless sex, but the loneliness is definitely real. Anyway, thanks for writing this. I enjoyed myself. Good luck in Manhattan. After undergrad, I moved to Seattle, the other side of the country. I miss home.
